L’inatteso colpo di coda a meno di un mese dagli Oscar.
Coda, film Apple, ha vinto i SAG Awards per il miglior cast, battendo in volata Belfast e Don’t Look Up. Che possa trasformarsi nella sorpresa Academy a fine marzo? Nel dubbio Jessica Chastain vola verso la sua prima statuetta dopo aver vinto il SAG per The Eyes of Tammy Faye, battendo Lady Gaga, Olivia Colman e Nicole Kidman. Ma qui era clamorosamente assente Kristen Stewart. Tra gli attori piano inclinato in direzione Oscar anche per Will Smith, riuscito a superare Benedict Cumberbatch e Andrew Garfield, mentre tra i non protagonisti trionfo annunciato per l’eccezionale Ariana DeBose e vittoria a sorpresa per Troy Kotsur di Coda.
In ambito televisivo, miglior cast drama Succession e miglior casta comedy Ted Lasso, con Jung Ho-yeon di Squid Game eletta miglior attrice davanti a Jennifer Aniston ed Elizabeth Moss. Ancora Squid Game con Lee Jung-Jae, eletto miglior attore davanti a Brian Cox, mentre Jean Smart ha fatto suo il SAG come miglior attrice comedy e Jason Sudeikis quello come miglior attore comedy, con Kate Winslet e Michael Keaton in trionfo tra le miniserie.
