Bruno Mars ha trionfato ai Grammy 2018, vincendo tutti i premi in cui era nominato, compresi quelli come album dell’anno (“24K Magic”), registrazione dell’anno (“24K Magic”), canzone dell’anno (“That’s What I Like”).
Mars si è così unito al selezionato gruppo di artisti che hanno vinto le prime tre categorie del Grammy in un solo anno. Ovvero Adele (due volte), Carole King, Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, Christopher Cross e Dixie Chicks.
Tra gli altri grandi vincitori della serata c’è Kendrick Lamar, che si è portato a casa 5 Grammy, tra i quali quello per il miglior album rap, la miglior canzone, collaborazione (con Rihanna) e performance rap. Alessia Cara è stata votata come la miglior rivelazione, unica donna vincitrice in un’annata nera per le popstar, con Ed Sheeran che ha non a caso sconfitto Kelly Clarkson, P! Nk, Kesha e Lady Gaga con il tormentone “Shape of You”.
Grammy postumo, infine, per Carrie Fisher, scomparsa a fine 2016 ma vincitrice nella categoria audiolibri con la sua biografia “Memories of the Princess: The Carrie Fisher Diaries”. Rimanendo sugli audiolibri, splendido sketch di James Cordon che ha invitato diversi artisti a leggere alcuni parti del libro “Fire and Fury”, contro Donald Trump.
